Aanchal Vij

I am a music enthusiast who loves working to provide support and a structure for growth to the independent music scene in India. I volunteered with The YP Foundation for a period of one year and worked on organising a series of independent music workshops, The Open House Series, and increasing mobility for both aspiring and professional musicians.

I am passionate about writing and like to express myself through that medium. I interned with a social media firm, Drizzlin, and the Delhi Times newspaper, and was a columnist for both online and print magazines like BLAH Magazine and DU Beat. I won several creative writing competitions at the inter and intra-college levels,  one of them being the Anupama Nair Memorial award for Creative Writing in 2010. I also worked on an inter-disciplinary research project facilitated by the University of Delhi. I love exploring linkages within and between music and writing. It perhaps goes without saying that I am an avid reader and an animated movies loyalist.
