Anuradha Das Mathur

Anuradha Das Mathur is a Founder and Director of 9.9 Media (Nine Dot Nine Media) - one of India’s fastest growing niche media companies that offers high-quality, timely knowledge and insights to targeted consumers, business and professional communities through magazines, websites, events, and peer groups. Over the past 4.5 years, she has launched new businesses, turned-around older ones, and focused on either doing different things – or doing things differently; a characteristic that is now identified with her Company.

Prior to running her own company with a group of partners, Ms Mathur ran Businessworld (a part of the Anand Bazaar Patrika Group), India’s most widely-read business magazine. She was responsible for growing the core magazine business and launching a series of new initiatives to supplement Businessworld.

Anuradha brings a unique blend of intellectual insight and intuition to 9.9 Media, building new businesses by leveraging knowledge and human capital. She has strong professional relationships in the Indian CXO community and this makes her ideal for the leadership of 9.9 Media’s community businesses. Specifically, she manages 9.9 Media’s CFO, CIO, CISO, and CEO communities, in addition to its research business and India’s first speaker bureau. She is the publisher and a senior editorial resource for The CTO Forum, CFO India and Inc. India. She is a speaker and chair at many CXO level conferences and her areas of expertise include entrepreneurship, the future of media, and gender balanced leadership.

Anuradha was recently selected for the prestigious FORTUNE magazine & US State Department Global Emerging Women Leader’s Programme. Established in May 2006, the programme identifies young, talented, emerging women business leaders from across the globe to spend a month in the United States and get mentored by top American female executives - FORTUNE's Most Powerful Women - and support them in their professional growth. She participated in the programme in 2009, joining 30 rising star women from around the world.

She spent the early years of her career with the Indian affiliate of the Economist Intelligence Unit where she led the research and advisory business, and conceptualised and managed a series of businesses for CFOs and CEOs. She is a trained economist with a Bachelors degree from Delhi University and a Masters degree from Trinity College, University of Cambridge.
