Saurabh Srivastava

Saurabh Srivastava is an Angel investor, Venture Capitalist and Entrepreneur and a leading figure in the Indian IT space. He has worked extensively in the US, UK, India and Singapore and has held senior executive positions with leading international companies such as IBM and Unisys before becoming an entrepreneur and then a VC.

In 1989, he founded IIS Infotech, which went on to become one of India’s most successful IT companies and was ultimately merged with Xansas in 1998. Mr. Srivastav continued to serve as the Executive Chairman of Xansas India and eventually oversaw its acquisition by Steria in 2007.

An entrepreneur himself, he has been instrumental in helping other start-ups and companies achieve growth. He co-founded and is Chairman of Infinity Ventures, India’s first and leading early stage fund, which performed really well, creating some land mark companies such as IndiaBulls, IndiaGames, BrainVisa and Avendus.

Mr. Srivastava co-founded NASSCOM and is currently its Chairman Emeritus. He was Chairman of the Indian government’s Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council and also was on the IT Committee of FICCI. Additionally, he founded the Delhi chapter of TIE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), the world’s largest organization devoted to entrepreneurship, with 16,000 members in 48 chapters across 12 countries.

Mr. Srivastava has also been a member of the Prime Minister’s Working Group on “Fostering Innovation and Sustaining Competitiveness” and was a member of the SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) Committee on Venture Capital. He also chairs the IT Ministry’s Committee on software exports, which develops strategies for the growth of the industry.
